This crossbreed of original Afghani and Pakistani strains is another rarity, not easily found in the United States. It's believed to be an indica-dominant hybrid, though there are few available details about its exact balance. Its scent is reminiscent of strong berries, with hints of lemon and spice, and it has a similar sweet taste. The soothing effects of this strain's body-oriented high are ideal for patients suffering from anxiety and stress, as it relieves muscle tension and jagged nerves. It's also an effective appetite stimulant, and can be helpful with asthma. The body experience is strongly euphoric, but it's coupled with a mild head high that clears everyday worries. THC levels are high in this potent strain: upwards of 20%. CBD levels, on the other hand, are very low, less than 1%. That makes Afpak a good treatment for diseases that respond to THC, less so for seizure disorders and other conditions that require CBD. Negative effects include dry mouth and red eyes. This unique strain may be hard to find outside Afghanistan and neighboring Pakistan, but it has certainly made its way to the West.
