Emerald Cup, also known as “Emerald Cup OG” or “The Emerald Cup,” is an indica dominant hybrid strain (70% indica/30% sativa) created through an unknown combination of other hybrid strains, although it is thought to be related to the infamous OG Kush. Named for the iconic Emerald Cup award, this bud packs a punch of potent effects with a gorgeous appearance that will leave you coming back for more again and again. Like its name suggests, Emerald Cup has an insanely beautiful appearance, with super fluffy, rounded and dense emerald-green nugs adorned with thin bright orange hairs and a frosty, thick coating of chunky white crystal trichomes. As you pull apart each sparkling little nugget, you'll instantly detect aromas of sour, citrusy lemons and woody pine accented by earthy, freshly picked flowers. The flavor is just as intoxicating, with a lemony-pine taste accented by a touch of earthiness. The Emerald Cup high will settle in slowly, beginning with a creeping sense of lifted happiness that slowly boosts the spirit, infusing your brain with a deep sense of bliss that's free of any negative thinking whatsoever. This happy numbness will soon begin to spread its giddy tendrils throughout the rest of your body, allowing you to finally stretch out and relax, free of any aches and pains to speak of. In combination with its high 14-20% average THC level, these effects give Emerald Cup an edge in treating chronic stress or anxiety, chronic pain, depression, PTSD and mood swings.
