Houndstooth is a slightly sativa dominant hybrid strain (60% indica/40% sativa) created through an unknown combination of other hybrid strains. Although its parentage is kept a closely guarded secret, Houndstooth is often sought out for its gorgeous appearance and amazingly buzzy body high that will have you feeling pain-free for hours on end. This bud has dense spade-shaped bright neon green nugs with dark leaves, thick orange hairs and a coating of chunky, bright white crystal trichomes. As you pull apart each sparkling little nugget, aromas of sour citrusy lemons and spicy chemical pungency are released, intensifying the more that you toke. The flavor is on the sweeter end of the spectrum, with a sugary lemon taste accented by spicy herbs and a hint of earthiness. The Houndstooth high will settle in a few minutes after your final exhale, beginning with a mental boost and a physical buzz that is pleasantly weighty. You’ll feel giggly and talkative, chatting and laughing with anyone around you with ease. Your body will feel totally calmed, not completely couch-locked but still kicked back. Thanks to these effects and its super high 16-20% average THC level, Houndstooth is often chosen to treat a wide variety of conditions including chronic stress or anxiety, depression, arthritis, appetite loss and chronic pain.
